

Violation of any state law or any rules of the Portage County Park Commission by a member of a camping party is cause for revocation of the camping permit. Extensions must be made prior to 10:00 A.M. After that, the campsite must be occupied every 24 hours.Ĭamping permits expire at 3:00 P.M. Once the campsite is set up, registered and paid for, it does not need to be occupied for the first 48 hours. Exceptions may be authorized by the park manager. No camping party or camping unit shall occupy any campground more than 14 consecutive days. Reservations can be made in person at the Portage County Parks office or on this website with Master Card or VISA, and must be made at least 7 days in advance of when a site is to be occupied. Whatever you bring with you to the site, needs to be packed out, including garbage. Camping is open from mid-April to mid-October. There are 3 sites to choose from, with no reservations needed.
